Divisions of Play
The final placement of all players in the league is up to The Board of Directors. They will make the final determination of a player’s eligibility for a given level after a recommendation by tryout managers.
TEE BALL
This division is for the boys and girls league age 5. Clayton Little League applies for a waiver so that players that are league age 4 are eligible to play also. The teams are selected by the player agent in a manner to create balance among the teams. The tee-ball program is to help introduce your child to the game of baseball. The purpose is to teach the fundamentals of the game. There are no team standings or team records.
INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE SOFTBALL
To prepare girls for the Minor League. It is open to players league age 6, 7 and 8 years old. The final determination of a players eligibility and assignment will be made by the Executive Board. This division utilizes coach pitching and it’s purpose is to develop the skills of each player. These teams will play in District 15 against other teams in the division.
INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE BASEBALL
To prepare boys for the Minor League. It is open to players league age 6, 7 and 8 years old. The final determination of a players eligibility and assignment will be made by the Executive Board. This division utilizes coach pitching and it’s purpose is to develop the skills of each player. These teams will play in District 15 against other teams in the division.
MINOR LEAGUE SOFTBALL
This division is for girls league age 9 and 10. Players age 8 can attend tryouts and be placed in the draft.
All candidates for Minor Division must attend tryouts, so that they can be placed in the draft. All players in the Minor League Program will be re-drafted each year. Your daughter may or may not be selected to the same team that she played with last year. All players, ages 9 and 10, will go through the Major League Draft. If they are not selected to a Major League team, they are then drafted by a Minor League Team and will compete in the Minor Division.
Candidates age 8 will only be eligible for the Minor League Draft. Players, age 8 and 9, that are not selected by a team in the draft will play in the Instructional League.
These teams will play in District 15 against other teams in the division.

MAJOR LEAGUE SOFTBALL
This division is for girls league age 11 and 12. Players ages 9 and 10 can attend tryouts and be placed in the draft.
All candidates for Major Division must attend tryouts, so that they can be placed in the draft. All 12 year old girls must compete in the Major League Program unless they are physically unable to compete safely in the division. Players age 11 and below not selected to a Major League team will then be drafted by a Minor League Team and will compete in the Minor Division.
These teams will play in District 15 against other teams in the division.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
This division is for boys league age 11 and 12. Players ages 9 and 10 can attend tryouts and be placed in the draft.
All candidates for Major Division must attend tryouts, so that they can be placed in the draft. All 12 year old boys must compete in the Major League Program unless they are physically unable to compete safely in the division. Players age 11 and below not selected to a Major League team will then be drafted by a Minor League Team and will compete in the Minor Division.
These teams will play in District 15 against other teams in the division.
JUNIOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
This division is for boys League age 13 and 14. All games will be played against other Little League Programs throughout District 15.
JUNIOR LEAGUE SOFTBALL
This division is for girls League age 13 and 14. All games will be played against other Little League Programs throughout District 15.
SENIOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
This division is for boys League age 15 and 16. All games will be played against other Little League Programs throughout District 15.
